About the Event

Sarah Russell MP, on behalf of the APPG on Access to Justice and in collaboration with The Law Society is delighted to be hosting the Lord Chancellor and Deputy Prime Minister, Rt Hon David Lammy to discuss the Public Office (Accountability) Bill - AKA, The Hillsborough Bill. We will also be joined by:


  • Alex Davies-Jones MP, Minister for Victims

  • Deborah Coles, Executive Director of Inquest

  • Families with experience


The Hillsborough Bill represents a landmark moment for Access to Justice, and for the legal aid sector more broadly, as the Bill intends to provide legal aid for bereaved families during inquests.


The panel will take place in The Wilson Room in the Portcullis House from 17:00-18:00.
