We hosted the Minister for Safeguarding and VAWG to discuss how coercive control and economic abuse continue to undermine access to justice in the UK, highlighting persistent system failures across legal aid, the family and criminal courts, welfare and financial systems.

We hosted the Minister for Courts and Legal Services to discuss the severe and interconnected challenges affecting access to justice in the UK, centred on the impact of the LAA data breach and the escalating criminal courts backlog.

We hosted the author of the Independent Sentencing Review alongside the Minister for Prisons to discuss the crisis in the prison system, but also the intent to reorient the justice system toward reducing reoffending, strengthening rehabilitation, and ensuring fair, timely and proportionate decision-making across custody, probation and early legal advice.
